We're E-Bike Friendly
The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge is now in its 14th year and we never stop developing our event to suit the needs of our participants. As electric bikes continue to grow in popularity, we’ve made it easier than ever for e-bike owners to take part in either the 1 Day or 2 Day Cycle Challenge without running out of juice!
Raise funds for Ryedale Special Families
We encourage e-bike owners to get involved in the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge, as it’s all in aid of Ryedale Special Families. This crucial charity supports families of children and young people with disabilities, illness and additional needs, so your participation in the event will help to spread the word about this worthy cause, as well as raise much-needed funds.
Everyone’s welcome to take part
The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge events aren't a race or competition. Instead, our mission is to bring together people of all ages, abilities and experience levels for a fun and friendly, one or two day event, in aid of charity. That’s why e-bike riders are more than welcome to take part, as the challenge is all about community spirit and a shared appreciation of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds.
E-bike charging points
As an electric bike rider taking part in a 72-mile or 144-mile cycling challenge, you need to know that there are sufficient spots available along the route for topping up your batteries. That’s why we’re adding charging points at the two designated refreshment stops each day, which are located at approximately one-thirds and two-thirds distance.
As well as these stations, you will also find e-bike charging points at the halfway overnight camp – please see below.
Charging Points Day 1 (Both events)
